Description: The Ottawa Bicycle Lanes Project is a non-profit community based initiative that formed around the growing need for a safer cycling infrastructure in Ottawa, Canada. The continuing injuries and deaths of cyclists from sharing the road with motorized vehicles is unacceptable. As cities in the United States, Europe and some parts of Canada continue to move forward on their bicycle lane infrastructure for safer commuting, we felt a voice in Ottawa was needed to push for the development of our own safe bicycling infrastructure.
