Description: 人们如果缺乏资源享有社会上一般人的惯常生活方式，享有相类的生活水平，便算是生活在相对贫穷中。因此，「相对贫穷」在很大程度上反映了社会资源分配不平等的状况。以相对贫穷去量度贫穷的至大好处是其简单易行，因为其量度方法通常是采用社会上个人收入中位数的一个比率。例如经济合作及发展组织采用的贫穷指标以等值收入少于平均或入息中位数的百分之五十来界定贫穷。不过，由于所量度的只是收入，并未能充份顾及贫困人士的消费需要。例如，政府和非政府组织所提供非收入形式的福利项目，并无计算在內。同时，社会上对于采用收入中位数的什么比率(例如百分之五十，百分之六十)以界定贫穷亦有多种不同声音。...
